Social Good Summit 2019 highlights leaders in corporate sustainability

By Mashable Brand X

The 2019 Social Good Summit is fast approaching. On September 22nd, at the 92nd Street Y, the tenth annual Summit will bring together global citizens to share their ideas on creating a sustainable future for humankind. Tickets are on sale now, and we hope you’ll join us.

Every year, SGS promotes the Sustainable Development Goals, and this year the Summit turns its full attention to the crisis of climate change, which impacts all of the 2030 SDGs. Fighting climate change can bring us together like never before, mobilizing a truly planet-wide effort to combat its worst effects.

The 2019 Social Good Summit seeks to embody a spirit of collaboration, fostering conversation among people of all backgrounds to find climate solutions that work for all of us. This year’s diverse line-up of speakers includes activists and leaders from José Andrés to Katie Couric and Zoleka Mandela — and many more.

SGS 2019 wouldn’t be possible without the support of its sponsors, and we’re excited to experience their leadership in the climate space onstage at SGS. Don’t miss the innovations and inspiring ideas from SGS 2019’s sponsor events:

Verizon

Verizon is helping to lead the charge for digital inclusivity, bringing access to tech to underserved communities worldwide. Join Hans Vestberg, Verizon Chairman and CEO, and Emmanuel Nyame, Co-founder of Social Good Ghana and Co-founder, for a conversation on how to scale social good and ensure digital inclusivity.

Intuit

Everyone deserves the opportunity to prosper, but opportunities don’t come equally. One in six Americans lives in communities where jobs and opportunities are hard to come by, and the adverse effects of climate change hits these communities the hardest. Intuit’s Prosperity Hubs are helping to lead the way in bringing jobs to communities where talent is ample, but opportunities are lacking. Through 3,000 jobs in Prosperity Hub cities, Intuit is fueling the regional economies of cities in need. Join Mark Notarainni, Senior Vice President of Customer Success at Intuit, for an inside look at this essential program.

UBS

UBS supports sustainability in its financial products, its offices, and in the larger community. That’s why UBS has joined forces with award-winning sustainable luxury brand BOTTLETOP in its mission to raise public awareness for the UN’s SDGs. At the core of #TOGETHERBAND are wristbands — each in the color of one of the UN Goals — designed to raise funds for life-changing projects.

This year at SGS, UBS will sponsor our photo booth, where you can get your #TOGETHERBAND, capture memories of the event to share on social and send to friends, family and colleagues. Join us at the photo booth to choose the #TOGETHERBAND representing the goal that you are most passionate about.

Cotton On Foundation

Cotton On Foundation knows the importance of intersectional thinking when it comes to climate solutions. Sarah Spiker, COF’s Global Projects Operations Manager, will speak to the importance of educating girls — a key pillar in creating a better world for all of us.

Pfizer

Long term SGS partner Pfizer will host an onstage presentation with Caroline Roan, Vice President of Pfizer Global Health & Patient Access and President of The Pfizer Foundation*, examining the qualities of innovation at the individual-level. She will explore the values of respect, adaptability and perseverance through the stories of three individuals who have inspired her through their work, reinforcing that people are the drivers of change – not just in health, but in tackling all of the SDGs. Pfizer is also hosting an exciting activation in our red carpet room where users can interact with global health tools and experience how Pfizer and its partners are helping to improve health.

Anheuser-Busch InBev

To help reach their ambitious 2025 sustainability goals, the world’s leading brewer launched the100+ Accelerator, a global initiative to help promising start-ups deliver sustainable solutions worldwide. Learn more about AB InBev’s program at their onstage panel, featuring a conversation with Maisie Devine, Global Director of the 100+ Accelerator; Tony Milikin, Chief Sustainability & Procurement Officer for AB InBev; and Ashish Gadnis, CEO and Founder of Accelerator Startup BanQu.

Join us at the 2019 Social Good Summit for a day of inspiration, ideas, and conversation about solutions to the climate crisis. We only have one planet — together, we’ll rally to save it. Tickets on sale now.
